We are deeply saddened by the loss of our co-founder, arts activist, and visionary, Mrs. Louise Hopkins Underwood. She was truly an inspiration to us all through her dynamic spirit, grace, and generosity!
The memorial service will be Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m. in the LHUCA Warehouses, at the corner of Mac Davis Lane and Texas Avenue. Following the service, a Brass Band will lead the procession two blocks to begin a musical Celebration of her Life at LHUCA and the LHUCA Plaza from 3-5 p.m. First Friday Art Trail attire is recommended for the weather and the concrete floors. Seating at the LHUCA Warehouse is limited to 625 people.
There will be limited valet service at the Warehouse for those who need it. Other parking will be available in parking lots directed by officers.
Louise always had LHUCA utmost in her thoughts. Rather than flowers, the family suggests a contribution to LHUCA, 511 Avenue K, Lubbock, TX, 79401.
