A Look at “Lubbock Collects” with Christian Conrad

all 3.jpg

Highlighting three major art collections within Lubbock, this lecture will focus on select pieces and the biographies of the artists who created them. On display in the exhibition are a collection of prints by contemporary artists such as Jim Dine, Man Ray, and Adolf Gottlieb. Also featured are prominent Texas artists such as Bernice Fix and a large collection of preeminent local artists. The wide variety of work present showcases the eclectic tastes of the Lubbock Collects exhibition. The final aspect of our lecture on this fascinating exhibition will feature the variety of materials that, along with the pieces and artists, form an important third aspect of these local collections.

The Collectors:

Linda and Dr. John Filippone
Melissa Grimes
Elisabeth and Dustin Burrows
