Develop your mind, body, and spirit in a beautiful setting with Yoga in the Gallery! Participants will enjoy a free yoga class on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts (LHUCA). Each month, we will feature a different yoga studio, style and instructor in various galleries at LHUCA. Synchronize movement with breath as you awaken strength, energy, and flexibility at these open-level classes in a gallery setting. Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket.
Vinyasa yoga, movement synchronized to breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you to flow from one pose to the next, in time with inhales and exhales.
