Meet the Executive Director
Lindsey Maestri has nearly a decade of experience as a curator and arts executive with organizations across the country. Maestri, has been with LHUCA since 2017 and served as community engagement manager then interim executive director before becoming executive director in December 2018. She holds a BFA from the University of Arkansas, a Post Baccalaureate from the University of South Florida, and an MFA from Louisiana State University. Other arts administration positions she has held include executive director of the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah, Kentucky and exhibitions and Programs Manager for Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft. While in Paducah, she was nominated to two municipal committees, City Hall Schematic Design Committee and City of Paducah Convention Center Art Committee, and served as the Volunteer Chair of the Lower Town Arts and Music Festival. As an educator, she has taught at numerous institutions including Texas Tech University, Houston Community College, University of Tennessee at Martin, and Murray State University. In addition to her personal art practice, Maestri has been a member of the Ireland-based international arts collective, Expanded Draught, for 10 years.
